So I went to see Elisabeth. I am going to write up a proper review after I see it again, but until then, my stream of consciousness thoughts.

It wasn't fantastic but it wasn't awful. Mirio is just.... so not my type it made this almost painful to watch as a Hanagumi fan.  Death is this, ethereal, androgynous, sexy thing that dances across stage attempting to seduce Elisabeth to her death. You are supposed to sit in the audience and want to be seduced by this creature. And I just... wasn't. XD; Mirio physically just can't pull of an otokoyaku for me. She's all short, feminine wibbly puppy to me. That being said, vocally she was fantastic. I would probably put her close to the top of Takarazuka deaths. I mean, girl can just hit those low notes that really just resonate through the whole theatre. I just wish she had more of a presence when she wasn't belting out those low notes.

She also really got shafted color-wise. She's a dead ringer throughout the entire production for her shinko Death. Tambourine's daihyou said that's what everyone was talking about after shonichi. She hasn't changed physically enough to be able to give it a new flair with the look being so similar. It's a little awkward. Also Tambourine's daihyou's face when she was like "Has anyone seen her shinko?" and I was like "Uhhh. Yeah" was perfect.  Haha. Beautiful times. Between that and her "I bet you've never seen Wao's berubara" you think she would be learning better.

Micchan was a perfect Franz. Probably one of my favorites, mostly because I find Franz a really boring character and the only life is in the songs. Which Micchan blew away, of course. It's really disconcerting how Micchan can still play young innocent and naive so well. Her face when she realized she had put somebody to death was like the most whibbly thing ever. She however, has this knack for forgetting for just a second, just a moment that she is young puppy Franz and breaking the illusion. Which was both adorable and irritating. I just mentally shook my head and laughed to myself with a "oh Micchan".

Ichika was... underwhelming. IDK. I think Hacchi just set the bar at an terrifyingly awesome Sophie. She also suffered from costume woes. Which only I would probably noticed.

Kiki was a beautiful Rudolph. Also great watching Mini Death and Tall Ruloph do the dance of death. Chipmunk.. I mean Yabuki Sena as young Rudolph was good. She suffered from the awful wigs. But didn't all of them. It can't be helped.

Minami Maito can give me a sexy blue fishy STI any day of the week.

Ran-chan. Really, there just isn't words. She was the human embodiment of amazing. I was really heartbroken when she didn't retire with T. But knowing she stayed to play THIS role just made it perfect. She has fucking EARNED this role. She started out not ready to be top, and was a weak singer, and now she is playing mother fucking ELISABETH. She still has her own vocal quirks, but she did it. I may have been teary and/or crying for almost ALL of the scenes with Elisabeth in them. She is a queen and this is such a fitting show for her to leave on. I have stars in my eyes and my wallet out to buy all of the photos.

Oh~! The finale... Uh. Yeah, that was awkward. Spanish themed Elisabeth music. The pair dance was supposed to be 'latin' and 'sexy' but Mirio and Ran-chan kept smiling at each other. Like, Mirio you are a puppy, don't help that image by SMILING at Ran chan while you have her thigh up in the air and her body up against yours like that. It just ruins any chance of me even KINDA liking it.

Oh. And the otokoyaku dance costumes are gold. Which is really unfortunate for Mirio because she looks like walking corpse with the cool and warm tones in direct opposition. Black Angels are less awkward because they have time to warm up their faces, if not their eye make.

Aren (OR Allen) wins "Most Distinctive Black Angel" award and "The Most Attractive" black angel award. Runa wins "Most Likely to be Mistaken for Tomu's Shinko Death". Maitii wins "Sexiest" because she is really working the sexy smirk.

Oh. And Taso is officially cool enough for the ginkyou during parades. Moving up in the world.
