Kiki was (predictably) perfect. Girl has a legion of fangirls and has earned them. It's crazy how much she's grown up under Tomu. I see a lot of Tomu interpreted in her style and I have mixed feelings about that most days, but today it was all love. She even managed to rock the crazy long wig without looking completely like a girl, which given that she has a really feminine face, is quite a feat. More so than Tomu because Tomu has that jaw line to balance it out. Her vocals were amazing.
Kiwa had a face that pretty much only looks terrified or heart wrenchingly sad. But I can honestly say her voice was amazing. I bet they cast her for her voice. I can't imagine Ayase, Bei or Ririka holding their own vocally in that show (blatantly star-tracked) musumeyaku. I think she will probably go the way of Urara and disappear back into the ranks of musumeyaku after this. Or maybe she will return again. It's hankyu. You never really know.
Rei held her own vocally. She definitely has improved since last year. I was almost impressed. However she's never going to be known as a great singer. Her emotion was great though and she has enough puppy face in her that she didn't outshine Mirio. Which was honestly what I was a little worried about. Mirio is amazing in this role, but her face is young looking.
Maito as Mii-chan's sexy revolutionary was really good. I half expected better but Mii-chan has some kick ass solos and as a baby Mighty totally tried her best and did a really solid job. I wish she would stop widening her eyes though. It just makes her look crazed... And it's intimidating when you are right in front of her. She does it in the main show too (and every other show) >.> I'm still a little surprised she got this role instead of Rei. I figured they would be switched. But vocally this made more sense I guess. Rei definitely would have struggled with the solo,... *thinks about it* Oh god, that's exactly why they cast it this way I bet.
Rin got Daimon's role because she's an upperclassmen and they had to give her something. Daimon only has one real good number in this play, but she did a great job at it.
Ranma Yuu got to play Fuji-P's role. She obviously had a lot of fun with it, which is good cause its her last Shinko role. The role itself is fun but they played with it and it worked. I'm still sad she's leaving, but I understand why.
Bikku gets an honorable mention for not living up to Taso's hair. In fact her wig was downright awful and that was the most memorable thing about her performance. I know it's hard to live up to Taso, and she is amazing and all over the plays in the normal version.
Yabuki Sena has an adorable face, and I watched her in Rai's skystage 'I love dancing' segment so knew she was going to be good, but she blew me away as black angel. She had the choreography nailed, and was much more expressive than Rei. Rei went more with the Yurika smirky non-expressive death like figure, where Sena was much more open and gleeful almost throughout the whole show. I'm going to have to keep my eye on her. I do love a good dancer. The white angel was also beautiful, but I paid much more attention to Sena. Plus the white angel is like a ken-2.. So still pretty new. I'll have time to stalk her later.
Oh! And my musumeyaku had her derpy face all over this show. She was in the opening number as a court lady in the center of the stage, she was a feisty revolutionary, and she was a noblewoman who gets killed during the Terror. She also got to dance during the love scene.,. And it was beautiful, I'm such a sucker for dancers.
I'll probably add more thoughts later but I have like three percent battery ^^;;
Oh, and to the list of seito with crazy attractive daihyou's we need to add Mitsuru. Hot damn.
Edit: wow. Way to delete all of my spacing LJ. Edited for space and to put a cut in.
